Connect Codex

Codex connects to the Codex profile already signed in on this Mac. No developer account or API key is needed.

Set it up

    Install Codex

    Install and open the Codex app or Codex CLI on this Mac.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Codex

    Sign in to your ChatGPT account in Codex. Stat uses the existing local Codex connection; it does not ask for your password or an API key.

    Connect in Stat

    Choose Codex in Stat and select Connect Codex. Stat checks your Codex profile and reads its aggregate usage stats.

Ready to connect?

Open Stat on your Mac and paste your details into the Codex connection.

Your credentials are saved in your Mac’s Keychain. Stat uses them to read the metrics shown in your screen saver.
