Connect Shopify

Stat reads recent orders through Shopify’s Admin API. Shopify’s app setup now depends on whether your store already has a custom app.

Set it up

  1. 1

Check for an existing custom app

If your store already has an admin-created custom app, open Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → your app → Configuration. Confirm it has the read_orders scope, then install or reinstall it to generate a token.

  2. 2

For a new app, use Shopify’s current developer flow

Shopify no longer allows stores to create new admin-created custom apps. New apps must be created in the Shopify Dev Dashboard or with Shopify CLI, configured with read_orders, then installed on the store. Shopify’s current setup requires developer tooling; follow the official app authentication guide or ask your Shopify developer/store owner to prepare the app and token.

  3. 3

    Copy the Admin API token

After installing the app, copy its Admin API access token from the app’s API credentials. Shopify only shows some tokens once. Keep the token private.

  4. 4

Enter your store details in Stat

Paste the token into Shopify Admin API token. Enter your store’s myshopify.com address, such as example.myshopify.com, then choose Connect.

What you’ll need

  • · Admin API access token
  • · Store domain ending in myshopify.com
