Connect Stripe

Connect Stripe to show subscription revenue, customers, and paid invoice revenue.

Set it up

    Open your Stripe API keys

    In Stripe, open Developers → API keys. Choose the same mode as the data you want: test mode for sample data, or live mode for real business metrics.

    Create a restricted key

    Choose Create restricted key and name it Stat. Set read access for Subscriptions, Subscription items, Invoices, Coupons, Products, and Prices. Leave every write permission off. If a restricted key is unavailable, use a secret key and keep it private.

    Copy the key now

    Copy the secret value while Stripe displays it. Test keys start with sk_test_; live keys start with sk_live_. Never use a publishable key that starts with pk_.

    Connect in Stat

    Paste the key into the Stripe field and choose Connect. To show real business numbers, use a live key.

Open Stat on your Mac and paste your details into the Stripe connection.

Your credentials are saved in your Mac’s Keychain. Stat uses them to read the metrics shown in your screen saver.
