Connect X / Twitter

Connect a developer app that is allowed to look up your public follower count.

Set it up

    Check X API access

    Sign in to the X Developer Console and check that your account has API access for the user lookup endpoint. X access tiers, billing, and endpoint availability can change; a developer account alone may not include this endpoint.

    Open your app keys

    In the Developer Portal, open your project and app, then go to Keys and tokens. Generate or copy the app’s Bearer Token.

    Find your username

    Use the username from your public profile without the @ sign.

  4. 4

    Connect in Stat

    Paste the Bearer Token into the X field, enter your username, and choose Connect.

Open Stat on your Mac and paste your details into the X / Twitter connection.

Your credentials are saved in your Mac’s Keychain. Stat uses them to read the metrics shown in your screen saver.
